Can I cancel my order after placing it?
No. All sales are final and we do not allow cancellations, including for preorders and merchandise. Please double-check your order before checking out.
Do you accept returns or offer refunds?
We do not accept returns or issue full refunds. However, if your item arrives damaged or there’s a fulfillment error, you may qualify for store credit or a partial refund on a case-by-case basis.

What qualifies as a damaged item?
We consider an item damaged if it has:
- Large scratches or gouges on the cover/spine/dust jacket
- Missing or misprinted pages
- Water damage or severe binding issues
- Rips/tears larger than 2 inches
We do not consider the following as damage:
- Minor corner dents or edge wear
- Small scuffs or scratches
- Cosmetic issues under 2 inches that do not affect readability
How long does it take to ship my order?
Please allow up to 3 weeks for your order to be fulfilled. We usually ship faster, but this buffer gives us flexibility and ensures quality.
If your order includes a preorder item, everything will ship together once all items are available.
How do I know when my order has shipped?
You'll receive a tracking link once your package is dropped off with USPS or UPS. Please note: if a label is created, it does not mean the order has shipped yet.
Do you offer international shipping?
No. We currently only ship within the U.S.
What if I entered the wrong shipping address?
If your order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address:
- You’ll need to pay additional shipping to resend it
If you don’t cover the reship cost, your order will not be resent or refunded
What should I do if my package says delivered, but I didn’t receive it?
Please wait 72 hours after it’s marked delivered — sometimes carriers scan early. If it still hasn't arrived, contact us at hello@steamylit.com within 30 days of the delivery date.
Can I get gift wrapping or a message included with my order?
No, we do not offer gift packaging or gift messages at this time.
What if I bought a ticket to a store event that includes a book?
- You have 14 days after the event to pick up your book in-store
- OR request shipping within 14 days (shipping fees apply)
After 14 days, the book will be restocked with no refund or store credit issued
How do I choose in-store pickup?
At checkout, make sure to select “In-Store Pickup” and double-check that you’ve chosen the correct store location. We’re unable to transfer orders between locations once they’ve been placed.
How long do I have to pick up my order?
You have 14 days from the date your order is marked "ready for pickup" to collect your order.
